We booked the Sky Villa. We fell in love with everything around it.

The Sky Villa looks beautiful in photos, but standing underneath it for the first time is something else.
It’s an incredible piece of architecture, yet somehow it still feels calm and intimate.
That balance is difficult to explain until you’re there.

Without a plan.
Some mornings started with coffee on the balcony.
Other days we explored nearby temples and villages.
In the afternoon we’d return to the villa, spend time by the pool or book a massage before dinner.
It felt like there was never any pressure to do more.

One evening turned into four.
We originally planned to try different restaurants around Ubud, but after our first dinner we kept
coming back.
The food was beautifully presented without feeling overly formal, and every recommendation from
the team was spot on.
Dinner became something we genuinely looked forward to every evening.

The first sunrise.
We woke up early because of the birds.
Instead of going back to sleep, we made coffee and sat outside.
Everything was quiet except the sounds of nature.
Neither of us spoke for quite a while.
It was one of those moments you don’t plan, but end up remembering the longest.

It feels designed around experiences instead of facilities.
Everything is there, but nothing competes for your attention.
That’s surprisingly rare.

Without hesitation.
Especially to couples looking for somewhere that feels different from the typical luxury resort.
